At times the size is not called out so I have compared these below to a known rollerball size, a Lamy M66 (in a Lamy Swift pen) which is approximately 0.8mm. WebSince the ink feed of the fountain pen relies on capillary action and gravity to keep a constant supply of ink in the nib, it cannot write upside down. This is true whether the pen uses plastic cartridges or has a built-in reservoir. There is no mechanism to forcibly pump the ink up through the nib. WebHowever, it looks almost like the slit is cut on a slight angle; this doesn't necessarily mean the pen won't write perfectly well, but does seem a bit less than optimal.
